For Visitors
Best options for same-day tattoos: Black Orchid, Tramp Art, Kustom Hustle, and Resurrection Ink all actively take walk-ins. Call ahead when possible. Mid-week mornings are the least busy. Avoid Friday–Saturday afternoon without an appointment.
For realism or fine line: Good Fortune or Red Ocean. For bold American traditional: Kustom Hustle. For neotraditional or pop culture: Resurrection Ink. For diversity of styles under one roof: Tramp Art Studios. For all-round reliability: Black Orchid.
Staying downtown near the squares? Kustom Hustle (MLK Blvd) and Red Ocean (President St) are both walkable from most hotels. If you have a car, Victory Drive has both Black Orchid and Tramp Art within a few blocks of each other.
Most shops require a $50–$100 deposit for custom work. Simple flash designs can often be done walk-in same day. Prices are not quoted over the phone at most studios - you'll get an estimate in person. Bring cash as backup even if cards are accepted.
If you're getting tattooed near the end of a trip, protect fresh work from sun and saltwater. Savannah's humidity can affect healing. Ask your artist for travel-specific aftercare instructions - most shops can recommend where to get supplies nearby.
